A Presidents Day GetAway

It was imperative that I get out of town for 36 hours.

The last three day weekend until summer; to allow it to pass without capturing a single pixel would mean the terrorist have won.

I grabbed my camera, my toothbrush, and a change of socks. With a bag of trail mix from Trader Joes and my playlist of 90s Top 40 in my Prius, I made a bee-line for northbound Highway 1 up the California Coast.

Driving up the coast highway by all the farms, vineyards and beaches is like lithium for the soul, it’s the Bizarro World of Hwy 237, which dominates my daily commute.

My quarry was simple—a 19th-century Russian fort on the northern California coast known as Fort Ross.

The main photo I wanted to capture was the inside fort yard which, as you can plainly see, is TOTALLY HAUNTED! You can see the wondering tormented spirits of the 19th-century Russian pelters wondering the fort grounds. How do I know they are Russian ghosts because they totally hacked my smarty phone and filled it with M.A.G.A. propaganda, the aye-holes!!!! Russian ghosts are the WORST.
